Biology & Earth Sciences Teacher, Alexandra Merritt, B.S. in Biological Sciences and Secondary Education Certification

This is Ms. Merritt’s first year at Innovations High School where she will be teaching Biology and Earth Science. She is originally from a town near Springfield, IL. She graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and Secondary Education certification from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL. While in college, Ms. Merritt was an active member of the Student Illinois Education Association, Biology Club, and various volunteer organizations. Ms. Merritt is a shark enthusiast and enjoys reading, being outside, exploring Chicago and spending time with family and friends.
