The Post-Secondary Department of Innovations High School is committed to exposing students to a variety of educational and career options in preparation for success after high school. Visits to area colleges, universities and vocational training centers are scheduled throughout the school year and students are encouraged to maintain their good academic standing with their teachers in order to take advantage of campus visits and college fairs. In addition, colleges representatives are regularly invited to make presentations to Inovations High School students on our monthly Ubuntu Assembly days. Post-Secondary Dual-Credit/Dual Enrollment Program
Innovations Juniors took college classes Summer 2012. The Dual-Credit, Dual Enrollment program with the City Colleges afforded two Innovations students the opportunity to complete college credits at Harold Washington College this summer.Michelle Wilhoite and Michael Hu were thrilled to have the opportunity to keep their minds sharp and earn college credits.
